The Downtown Swing Band was formed in August 2004 by a group of friends interested in keeping the music of the Glenn Miller swing era alive. We are a community big band consisting of 5-6 saxophones, 3-4 trumpets 2-3 trombones and a thythm section of 3-4 players. We have performed as concert gguests at dances, as dinner background and our own concerts at the mall or outdoors. Our repertoire consists of classic swing era tunes, modern tunes, with a little rock to shake things up. We cater our performances to the audience.
