We will be playing a variety of traditional and modern swing tunes. Book your table now for this event by calling: 582-3648. The chef will be preparing two special dinners (pork and beef) for $15.95 or select a tasty creation from the regular full evening menu. Printable forms Info for Parents Info for Teachers Application form MAY 1ST: The Downtown Swing Band is providing background music at the Kentville Volunteer Recognition Dinner held Thursday May 1st at the Kentville Fire Hall Auditorium. MAY 9-10 Fredericton International TubaFest 2008 TubaFest is bringing in Sotto Voce Quartet as clinicians and Lance Nagels and Jean Sutherland are coming to play two pieces that have been composed as tributes to John Griffiths. We have moved it to the second weekend of May so it does not conflict with the Atlantic Band Festival. This year we are taking the clinicians into two of our local schools and to Saint Andrews for a public concert. We have received international recognition - Barton Cummings from California has composed the Fredericton Suite for our event this year. For more information, see the Fredericton International TubaFest website. June 22 There will be a concert in memory of Ron MacKay on the evening of Sunday June 22nd. at CEC. Details to follow. This is an open public performance sponsored by Windsor Business Development. Come enjoy an evening of traditional Swing music from 7pm to 8:30pm. This is an outdoor event, and consequently weather dependant.
